 One of the most prosperous and well-known businesspeople in the world, Bill Gates is a co-founder of Microsoft. He was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, and raised there with his two sisters in an upper middle class household. 

Early on, Gates showed a keen interest in computer programming, and at the age of 13, he enrolled in Seattle's exclusive preparatory Lakeside School. Here, he first met Paul Allen, who would go on to work with him and co-found Microsoft.

 Gates enrolled at Harvard University's computer science and mathematics programmes in 1973. However, he left school after two years to devote himself to his passion for creating software. He and Allen launched Microsoft together in 1975.

which grew to be one of the biggest and most prosperous technology firms in the world. Microsoft was led by Gates to produce a variety of popular software products, notably the MS-DOS operating system, which rose to prominence in the 1980s and became the industry standard for personal computers. 

The initial version of Windows, which was published by Microsoft in 1985, quickly rose to prominence as an operating system for personal computers. Gates is well-known for his charitable endeavours in addition to his job at Microsoft. 

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the biggest philanthropic foundations in the world, was established by him and his wife Melinda Gates in 2000. 

The charity prioritises public libraries, education, and global health and development.For his contributions in the computer sector and philanthropy, Gates has won various honours and awards.
